Solving problems, delivering results.

Scott K. Jones

Scott K. Jones is an accomplished trial attorney with decades of experience representing businesses, executives, entrepreneurs, and individuals in complex commercial litigation, business disputes, fiduciary matters, trade secret litigation, and high-stakes civil cases. Known for his strategic approach, courtroom advocacy, and practical problem-solving, Scott has built a reputation for delivering exceptional results in some of the most challenging legal matters, both nationally and internationally.

Scott earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1998, where he served as a Staff Editor of the Dayton Law Review, after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Miami University in 1995. He is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, allowing him to effectively represent clients in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Scott has successfully handled numerous high-profile and multi-million-dollar cases. His experience includes defending a national retailer in a six-week jury trial involving alleged theft of trade secrets where the plaintiff sought $37 million in damages, securing a $3.25 million settlement following a seven-day intentional tort trial, and leading the U.S. legal proceedings to recover a rare antique Ferrari racing car for a Belgian client that later sold at auction for more than $16 million. He has also obtained multiple multi-million-dollar settlements in shareholder and business ownership disputes, recovered millions of dollars in rare pre-World War II Mercedes-Benz automobiles and historical automotive assets, successfully represented corporate clients in trade secret litigation, negotiated complex international contract disputes involving companies in the United States, Switzerland, and South Korea, and achieved favorable outcomes in fiduciary duty, fraud, trust investment, and accounting malpractice cases.

In addition to his legal practice, Scott is deeply committed to serving his community. He is the immediate past board chair Mason Deerfield Community Development Corporation and has previously served as Board Chair of the Mason-Deerfield Chamber of Commerce. His leadership has also extended to organizations including the DeCavel SIDS Foundation, West Chester Community Foundation, MSI Global Alliance, Daybreak Runaway Shelter, and the Boonshoft Museum, reflecting his longstanding commitment to strengthening the communities where he lives and works.

Scott's passion for the law began early, inspired by his father, attorney Kevin Jones, who taught him the importance of integrity, perseverance, and helping others. Those values continue to guide his practice today as he advocates for clients facing their most significant legal challenges.

Outside the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Denise, and their three daughters, Hallie, Abby, and Mary ("MJ"). Whether traveling with family, preparing a great meal, enjoying a round of golf, or adding to his bourbon collection, Scott believes that the same dedication, discipline, and appreciation for relationships that shape his personal life also define his approach to serving clients.
